Game of Thrones Re-watch Anyone?

There are 67 episodes across the first seven seasons of the hit fantasy drama, HBO’s Game of Thrones. With that in mind, some entertainment sites are suggesting that avid viewers begin watching the reruns of the past seasons early in February to prepare for the 8th and final season which premieres on April 14.

If my math is right, watching two episodes a day would take 34 days and involve tv watching about 2 hours a day with an average of 60 minutes per episode. That would be quite a commitment to the show but it would prepare you with all the details you need to understand the final season of the Game of Thrones.

If you remember before the release of Avenger: Infinity War, Marvel called it the accumulative effort of the last 10 years of film making and many prepared for the movie by rewatching all the previous Marvel Universe movies. With Avengers: Infinity War and Ant-Man and the Wasp that is now 20 movies. Having made over $14 billion in total at the box office who can argue with that logic.

However you manage the hours, a rewatch of the series in time for the Season 8 premiere is a huge commitment. But for those looking to re-familiarize themselves with all the intrigue and backstory of the popular fantasy drama, the time to start the revisit is now.

Returning on HBO Sunday, April 14, for its eighth and final season, Game of Thrones stars Kit Harington as Jon Snow, Emilia Clarke as Daenerys Targaryen, Peter Dinklage as Tyrion Lannister, Lena Headey as Cersei Lannister and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as Jaime Lannister.
